About Adam & Capacity Works
|
My name is Adam Poole, and Capacity Works was developed through years of experience supporting young people with diverse learning, behavioural, communication, and social support needs across both mainstream and specialist educational settings.
Beginning as a primary school teacher, I worked closely with students experiencing a wide range of individual learning challenges, developing practical strategies to improve engagement, confidence, participation, and everyday functioning. Over time, this experience expanded into specialist education settings supporting young people with complex needs, including students requiring additional support with communication, emotional regulation, socialisation, independence, and functional life skills. Throughout this work, I have collaborated closely with families, allied health professionals, schools, residential care providers, and support teams to develop consistent, individualised approaches focused on meaningful outcomes for each young person. Capacity Works was created from the belief that support is most effective when it is practical, relationship-based, individualised, and connected to everyday life. The aim is to meet young people where they are, build on their strengths, and support the development of skills that increase confidence, participation, and independence over time. |
